Who we are

Persian Meal prepares and delivers Persian meals across Melbourne, Victoria. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

We only collect what we need to cook and deliver your order:

• Your name, email address, phone number and delivery address.
• Order details, including the meals ordered, delivery option and any notes you send us.
• Payment confirmation details from our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
• Basic technical information such as your browser type and pages visited, used to keep the site working.

How we use it

We use your information to process and deliver orders, send order confirmations and delivery updates, respond to enquiries, and meet our legal and tax obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing emails unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We share only what is necessary with the services that make an order possible: our payment processor (Stripe) for secure card payments, our hosting and database provider for storing orders, our email provider for sending confirmations, and our delivery drivers for getting your meals to you. These providers may store data outside Australia.

Storage and security

Order records are stored in a secured database with restricted access. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe over an encrypted connection. We keep order and transaction records for as long as required by Australian tax and consumer law, then delete or de-identify them.

Cookies

The site uses only the cookies and local storage needed to remember your cart and keep your session working. We do not use advertising cookies.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email support@persianmeal.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
